PhoenixTM System in a Rotary Hearth Furnace
A short video detailing a live temperature profiling trial in a rotary hearth furnace.
Surveying a batch furnace using a PhoenixTM system
Shows how a PhoenixTM 'Hot Box' surveying and profiling system is used to carry out a 9 point furnace survey in a batch furnace. Our thanks to Wellman Furnaces (http://www.wellman-group.com/furnaces/) for their help in making this video
Stages in running a survey in an integrated quench furnace using a PhoenixTM system
Shows the basic steps in setting up and running a TUS in a batch integrated quench furnace using a PhoenixTM 'Hot Box' survey system. Shows how the oil quench is safely by-passed and how quickly the TUS report is produced
Measuring the Temperature of a Steel Tube During Annealing
Using a PhoenixTM 'Hot Box' system, the temperature profile of a steel tube during the annealing process in a walking beam furnace is measured.
Monitoring internal stock temperatures in a reheat furnace
How internal temperatures of a steel slab or billet can be measured using a PhoenixTM 'hot box' system, as the product reheated in walking beam or pusher furnaces prior to the hot mill
Measuring temperature profile in a paint / powder coat oven
This video describes how the true temperature of a product is measured throughout a curing process in a paint / powder coating oven using a PhoenixTM Compact system.
Monitoring part temperatures through a furnace and oil quench
Shows how a PhoenixTM 'Hot Box' system is able to run through an integrated furnace including the oil quench, measuring the temperature of the products.
Monitoring part temperatures through a furnace and oil quench (Japanese)
Shows how a PhoenixTM 'Hot Box' system is able to run through an integrated furnace including the oil quench, measuring the temperature of the products (Japanese language version).
PhoenixTM Data Loggers can survive accidental immersion in water quench
It has long been possible to measure the temperature profile of parts through solution treatment and age hardening processes (T6) using a ‘Hot Box’ type of system. During the process the system and parts pass through a water quench. If the operator assembles the system incorrectly water may enter the thermal barrier. With some systems this may damage the data logger beyond repair. However the PhoenixTM 6 and 10 channel data loggers can resist full immersion in water.
PhoenixTM system in a mini-mill (CSP) steel reheat furnace
Shows how a PhoenixTM system can measure the slab surface and the atmosphere temperatures in a reheat furnace of a mini mill. The temperature profiles are measured at 6 places across the slab surface with the corresponding atmosphere temperatures measured directly above.
PhoenixTM ‘Thermal View Plus’ Software – The Basics
A short video introducing some of the basics of PhoenixTMs ‘Thermal View Plus’ temperature profiling, and analysis software. Including a screen tour, and an explanation of how the basic features work.
